Why I'm Running
When I tell people I'm running for County Court at Law No. 1 Judge, one of the first questions I get is: "Why?"
It's a fair question. I have a career I'm proud of. As an Assistant Criminal District Attorney for Waller County, I've spent years fighting for justice on behalf of our community: prosecuting child abusers, protecting victims of domestic violence, and making sure that people who break the law are held accountable.
But that experience is exactly why I'm running.
Every day, I walk into the Waller County courtroom and see firsthand how judicial decisions affect real families. I've watched parents fight for custody of their children. I've seen victims of domestic violence seek protection. I've prosecuted cases where the outcome could mean the difference between a child being safe or being sent back into danger.
These aren't abstract legal concepts. They're real people, our neighbors, our friends, our fellow church members, going through the hardest moments of their lives. They deserve a judge who understands what's at stake.
I'm running because I believe Waller County deserves a judge with real courtroom experience. Not someone who will need months or years to learn how a courtroom operates, but someone who has spent years in this very courtroom, handling the same types of cases that come before the County Court at Law every single day.
I'm running because I believe in conservative judicial principles: applying the law as it's written, protecting constitutional rights, and making decisions based on facts and legal precedent. Not personal opinion. Not political agendas. Just the law.
And I'm running because this is home. I chose to build my career here in Waller County because I believe in this community. Now I'm asking for the opportunity to serve it from the bench.
I'd be honored to earn your vote in the Republican Primary on March 3, 2026.
