Braving the Storm: Bennett Dodson at the Waller County Patriots Candidate Forum
Despite a powerful thunderstorm rolling through Waller County on the night of February 3rd, dedicated voters and candidates alike showed up to the Waller County Patriots Candidate Forum at the Waller County Community Center in Prairie View. The turnout was a testament to the passion this community has for choosing the right leaders ahead of the March 3rd Primary Election.
The forum was hosted by the Waller County Patriots (WCP) / God and Country – Waller County Patriots, a Christian conservative organization committed to sharing ideas and education on issues affecting Waller County and our great Republic. The evening began with the regular WCP meeting at 6:00 p.m., with the candidate forum kicking off at 7:00 p.m.
A Room Full of Engaged Citizens
Candidates running for County Judge, County Court at Law Judge, County Commissioner, Justice of the Peace, and 14th Court of Appeals positions were in attendance giving voters an opportunity to hear directly from those seeking to represent them. Attendees came prepared with sharp questions and a genuine desire to understand where each candidate stands on the issues that matter most to Waller County.
Bennett appreciated every voter who braved the weather to be there. Showing up matters, and so does staying informed before you cast your ballot.
Why the Primary Matters
With March 3rd as Primary Election Day for Waller County, forums like this one play a crucial role in democracy at the local level. Winners of the primary will appear on the General Election ballot in November, making this one of the most consequential decisions voters will make all year.
Early voting runs February 17–27, 2026. If you haven't already, make your plan to vote.
Thank You, Waller County Patriots
Bennett is grateful to the Waller County Patriots for organizing such an important civic event and for their continued dedication to an informed electorate. Even a Texas thunderstorm couldn't keep Waller County voters away, and that says everything about this community.
