Knocking Doors Across Waller County
Over the past two weekends, our campaign hit the ground. Literally. My team of dedicated volunteers and I fanned out across Waller County neighborhoods on January 11 and again on January 19 to knock doors, introduce the campaign, and have real conversations with voters.
Why We're Knocking Doors
In a down-ballot judicial race, name recognition is everything. Most voters don't start researching County Court at Law candidates until they're standing in the voting booth. By then, it's too late to learn about the candidates' experience, qualifications, and judicial philosophy.
That's why we're bringing the campaign directly to voters' front doors. Every conversation is an opportunity to explain what this court does, why it matters, and why my experience as Waller County's prosecutor makes me the right choice for the bench.
What We're Hearing
The conversations have been incredibly encouraging. Here's what voters are telling us:
"I didn't know this race was happening." This is the most common response, and it's not surprising. Judicial races are at the bottom of the ballot and rarely get media coverage. But when we explain that this judge handles custody disputes, misdemeanor cases, and probate matters, the light bulb goes on. People care about these issues; they just didn't know there was an election for them.
"What makes your candidate different?" When voters hear that I've spent years prosecuting cases in this very courtroom, handling over 3,000 cases including child abuse and domestic violence, they get it. Experience in this specific courtroom matters.
"When is the election?" The Republican Primary is March 3, 2026, with early voting starting February 17. We're making sure every voter we talk to knows the dates.
